COURTESY CALL ON FORMER PRIME MINISTER OF LEBANON

 

His Excellency Ambassador ILANGO KARUPPANNAN paid a farewell call on His Excellency Fouad Siniora, former Prime Minister of Lebanon and Member of Parliament at his residence in Beirut on Tuesday, 13 May 2014.

 

The discussion between the two sides mainly touched on the current state of bilateral relations between Malaysia and Lebanon. Both sides expressed satisfaction at the excellent state of relations and agreed on the need to further strengthen the relations. The former Prime Minister recalled his experience in which he described the bilateral relations between the two countries as special and important.

 

Ambassador updated the former Prime Minister on Malaysia’s participation in the UNIFIL in South Lebanon. Both sides also had an exchange of views on the current domestic and regional political situation.
