COURTESY CALL ON SPEAKER OF PARLIAMENT OF LEBANON
His Excellency Ambassador ILANGO KARUPPANNAN paid a farewell call on His Excellency Nabih Berri, the Speaker of Parliament of Lebanon at the latter’s residence in Beirut on Tuesday, 8 July 2014.
Several issues were discussed between both sides including bilateral relation and Malaysia’s peacekeeping mission in the UNIFIL. The Speaker exchanged views on the overall security situation in Lebanon and the region particularly the latest attacks by Israel on Gaza. The discussion also touched on the presidential vacuum in Lebanon.
The Ambassador also took the opportunity to inform the Speaker that the Minister of Defense of Malaysia would be visiting Lebanon from 14-16 July 2014.
