Deepavali Open House at the Embassy, 13 November 2012

 

 

His Excellency Ambassador ILANGO KARUPPANNAN and his wife Mrs. Nirmala Devi Ilango hosted a Deepavali Open House on Tuesday, 13 November 2012 at the Embassy in Beirut. The event gathered together 35 Malaysians residing in Lebanon including Honorary Consul General of Malaysia, Datuk Omar Jundi.

 

In his remarks, the Ambassador explained that the Deepavali Open House is part of Malaysia’s cultural practice that brings all Malaysians together in the spirit of 1Malaysia. He also expressed gratitude to the attendees for their presence and hoped that the event could strengthen the camaraderie among the Malaysians. All the attendees were served with various Malaysian dishes and delicacies specially prepared by Mrs. Nirmala Devi Ilango.
