ENGAGEMENT WITH MALAYSIAN BATTALION (MALBATT) 850-13
Lieutenant Colonel Zain Azrai bin Haji Karia, Deputy Commander of the Malaysian Battalion (MALBATT) 850-13, and his delegation paid a courtesy call on Mr Johan Arief Jaafar, Chargé d’Affaires ad interim, Embassy of Malaysia in Lebanon.
The meeting provided an opportunity to exchange views on matters of mutual interest and to strengthen the close cooperation between the Embassy and MALBATT. The engagement reflects the continued coordination and mutual support between the Mission and the Malaysian contingent on the ground.
Malaysia remains steadfast in its commitment to international peace and security through its active participation in peacekeeping efforts, including under the framework of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL).
The dedication and professionalism demonstrated by Malaysian peacekeepers continue to embody the nation’s strong support for multilateralism and its enduring role in promoting stability and harmony at the international level.
