Malaysia’s 68th National Day Reception in Beirut. The event gathered over 250 guests, including Lebanese cabinet ministers, diplomats, business leaders and the Malaysian diaspora.
Ambassador Dato’ Azri Mat Yacob underscored Malaysia’s commitment to peacekeeping, humanitarian assistance, and the Malaysian Technical Cooperation Programme (MTCP), which recently trained 100 Lebanese healthcare professionals.
He also highlighted the 43% growth in bilateral trade from 2020 to 2024, a sign of resilience and expanding opportunities ahead.
The reception showcased Malaysia’s vibrant culture, economic dynamism, and tourism, including the upcoming Visit Malaysia Year 2026 campaign.
The evening event also reinforced Malaysia’s role as ASEAN Chair under the theme “Inclusivity and Sustainability”.
