Presentation of United Nations Medals to Malaysian Soldiers
On 1 April 2014 His Excellency Ambassador ILANGO KARUPPANNAN together with the Force Commander of UNIFIL Major General Paolo Serra presented United Nations medals to the Malaysian Battalion (MALBATT 850-1) troops for their service in the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) at a medal parade ceremony at the Malaysian camp in Marakah, south Lebanon. A total of 142 soldiers received medals for their service and contribution as peacekeepers.
