The Embassy of Malaysia in Lebanon congratulates Ms. Elissar from the Lebanese Agriculture Research Institute (LARI) as she will represent Lebanon for the "Regional Training Course on Climate Smart Agriculture", jointly organised by the Agensi Nuklear Malaysia & International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) from 15 to 26 April 2024 in Putrajaya, Malaysia.

In conjunction with Hari Sukan Negara 2026, the Embassy of Malaysia in Lebanon organised a friendly bowling session on 9 October 2026 at Score Bowling & Games, Hamra, Beirut. The activity brought together the Embassy’s Home-Based Staff (HBS) and Locally Recruited Staff (LRS) for a fun-filled session of sport and camaraderie. The participants enjoyed two games of bowling, embracing friendly competition and team spirit throughout the activity. Beyond the scores and strikes, the session provided an excellent opportunity to strengthen bonds, foster teamwork and promote a healthy and active lifestyle among the Embassy’s staff. Through this initiative, the Embassy reaffirmed the importance of sports and recreation in promoting well-being, unity and a positive workplace environment.
Mr Assaad Al Hariri, President of the North Lebanon Trading Association, paid a courtesy call on TYT Anwar Udzir, Ambassador-Designate of Malaysia to Lebanon, for a fruitful exchange on issues of mutual interest. The meeting focused on exploring new opportunities to strengthen trade and investment ties between Malaysia and Lebanon, particularly in the areas of renewable energy, digital economy and the Halal industry with possible participation from Lebanon. With shared interests and promising opportunities ahead, both sides look forward to building stronger partnerships and creating new avenues for economic cooperation.
YB Dato’ Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin, Minister of Defence of Malaysia led a delegation for an official visit to Lebanon from 29 to 30 September 2026. The Defence Minister was also accompanied by Dato’ Mohd Yani Daud, Deputy Secretary General (Policy) of the Ministry of Defence, and Lt Gen Datuk Sri Tengku Muhammad Fauzi Tengku Ibrahim, Commander of the Joint Forces of Malaysia. During the visit, Dato’ Seri Khaled Nordin visited the Embassy of Malaysia in Lebanon on 29 September 2026 for an Office Call with TYT Anwar Udzir, Ambassador of Malaysia to Lebanon. The Minister’s programme at the Embassy also included inauguration of a mini gymnasium, with its equipment donated by MALBATT 850-13, in the Embassy. The Minister of Defence later completed a symbolic presentation of donation with Brigadier General Imad Khreich, Director General of Lebanese Civil Defence in a ceremony of handing over of medical apparatus and fire extinguishers by Malaysia to the Lebanese Civil Defence. The visit reflected Malaysia’s continued commitment to strengthening bilateral relations and defence cooperation with Lebanon.
