On 29 May 2025, Dato’ Shahabudeen paid a courtesy call on His Excellency Mr. Ahmed Bahiya, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania in Rabat. During the meeting, both sides discussed efforts to further strengthen bilateral relations in the field of economy, trade, tourism, technical cooperation and education between Malaysia and the Islamic Republic of Mauritania.
