NOTICE ON THE IMPLEMENTATION OF MALAYSIA PASS DIGITALIZATION TO ePASS
The Ministry of Home Affairs has approved the full digitalization of the Malaysia Pass (MALPASS) to ePASS for expatriate applications. Currently, the use of ePASS for expatriates in Malaysia is only applicable for renewal applications.
In this regard, immigration facilities for expatriates—including the issuance of Employment Pass, Professional Visit Pass - Expert, Resident Pass - Talent, Dependant Pass, Long-Term Social Visit Pass, and Temporary Employment Pass—under the Expatriate Services Division of the Immigration Department of Malaysia will be transitioned to ePASS. This initiative aligns with the government's digital transformation efforts to enhance service efficiency. The full implementation of ePASS will take effect on 1 March 2025.
