The working visit of the Honorable Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution bin Ismail, Minister of the Ministry of Home Affairs of Malaysia (KDN), to Nepal on 4 - 5 February 2023. The arrival of the YB Minister was welcomed by Mr. Mohd Fadzle Abu Hasan (CDA a.i. Malaysia in Nepal), TYT Dilli Raj Poudel (Ambassador Of Nepal to Malaysia) & a line of government officials of both countries.

The visit involved a meeting with TYT Dol Prasad Aryal, Minister of Labour, Employment and Social Security of the Government of Nepal. The meeting touched on various matters related to the employment management of foreign workers involving Malaysia-Nepal. The meeting also touched on the memorandum of understanding as well as the way forward that can be pioneered to ensure that the employment of foreign workers can adapt to the use of technology and artificial intelligence (AI).

YB Minister also paid a courtesy visit to the Prime Minister of Nepal, TYT Pushpa Kamal Dahal in Singhadurbar, Kathmandu. Diplomatic relations established in 1960 have brought benefits to both countries and progressed quite well. The Prime Minister of Nepal in this meeting also expressed optimism that close cooperation between the two countries will drive economic growth and development.

The YB Minister and the delegation were also taken to visit the Health Screening Center and the Visa Processing Center, which provides services and facilities to process visas to Malaysia involving Nepali citizens.
