MALAYSIANS TO TAKE COVID-19 TEST PRIOR TO ARRIVAL IN MALAYSIA EFFECTIVE 20 JULY 2020
The High Commission wishes to convey that as part of the ongoing efforts under the Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO) in Malaysia, returning Malaysian citizens are required to take COVID-19 test within 3 days prior to their departure to Malaysia and obtain a negative result. The test report must be readied to be shown upon arrival at the airport. This measure will take effect starting from 20 July 2020.
Two other important requirements remain valid which are: to download and activate the 'MySejahtera' phone application prior to your arrival; and to undergo 14-day self-quarantine.
For Malaysians in New Zealand who plan to return to Malaysia, you may contact your local GP to obtain further information about taking the test. While the procedures are generally similar throughout the country, different GPs may have different time-frame for the test result to be issued.
