VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
CLERK (CONSULAR & ADMINISTRATION)
Among job requirements/duties of a successful candidate are as follows:
- In charge of administrative, consular and human resource management duties in accordance with the High Commission’s rules and procedures and under the supervision of the High Commission’s officials;
- Perform consular duties, including in the areas of processing visa, passport and reports;
- Prepare the documentation, record and update report on consular matter including record of payment;
- Responsible for the preparation of monthly and yearly statements for consular report;
- Attend to correspondence related to all administrative and consular matters;
- To maintain and prepare all the necessary documents/record of locally recruited staff;
- Ensuring the safe keeping of all administrative, inventory/asset records for Chancery and Official Residence; and
- Perform any other duties as required.
Successful candidates, should at minimum, possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Excellent command of English and other languages is an advantage, both written and oral;
- Minimum of Diploma/Bachelor’s degree qualification in management and/or human resource or public administration is required;
- Excellent IT skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and others);
- Good analytical skills;
- Ability to work individually and as part of a team;
- Good planning, interpersonal and communication skills;
- Good organizational and multitasking abilities;
- Great attention to details with positive attitude;
- Able to work extra hours; and
- Have a valid visa in New Zealand.

VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
DRIVER
Among job requirements/duties of a successful candidate are as follows:
- Responsible for the general cleanliness of both the exterior and the interior of the office car at all times;
- Ensure that the car radiator, engine oil, brake fluid etc. at the proper levels;
- Ensure that all the tires are in good condition and properly inflated;
- To inform the Second Secretary of any defects or any requirement for repairs and to arrange for any repairs to the car;
- To be appropriately attired at all times and to observe proper courtesies when driving the High Commissioner or any visiting Malaysian dignitaries;
- Maintain proper records of all petrol purchases, repairs, changing of tires or such other accessories in the Car Log Book which ought to be submitted on every Friday of each week;
- Daily record of all mileage travelled/performed on each day in the Car Log Book, which ought to be signed by the appropriate officer using the car;
- Drive the duty officers and to send/collect diplomatic pouches to and from the airport whenever required;
- To observe and comply at all times and every time all the traffic laws, regulations and bylaws of New Zealand with respect to the driving, parking or loading any vehicles registered in the name of the Malaysian High Commission, and shall not at all times, or any time whatsoever, drive, park, load or in any way use the vehicle in contravention of New Zealand Traffic Laws, regulations or bylaws;
- To cover the duties of the other driver, whenever he is on leave or otherwise unable to perform his duty as such; and
- Perform any other duties as required.
