WHAT IS BRAIN GAIN MALAYSIA PROGRAMME?
Brain Gain Malaysia (BGM) is a programme under the auspice of the Ministry of Science, Technology & Innovation (MOSTI). The objective of the programme is to fast-track Malaysia' transition to an innovation-led economy, by leveraging the talent pool of Malaysian Diaspora and/or foreign researchers, scientist, engineers, and technopreneurs residing abroad through incentive offerings for mutual benefit.
The priority industry clusters are:
1) Bio-informatics
2) Alternative energy/ renewable energy
3) Biotechnology - food production
4) Emerging technology for curing diseases
5) Climate change - related technologies
6) Nanotechnology
7) Cybersecurity
