The High Commission of Malaysia is able to certify certain official documents including identity card (MyKad), birth certificate, driving licence and marriage certificate.
To acquire the service, you must submit the following items:
- Copy of the Malaysian document, certified by a local JP or Notary Public.
- Translated copy of the Malaysian document (translated by an official translator).
- NZ$5.00 processing fee per document in the form of cash or online payment.
- Prepaid self-addressed courier bag.
Please make an appointment if you are to be present at the High Commission for the above purpose.
The High Commission can undertake limited translation service of identity card (MyKad), driving license and birth certificate. However, the translation of other documents must be done through official translation services before submitting them to the High Commission for certification.
The High Commission will not accept any responsibilities for lost of documents during mailing or courier.
