ARRIVAL CEREMONY OF AMBASSADOR-DESIGNATE TO THE REPUBLIC OF THE UNION OF MYANMAR TO PAKISTAN
On Friday, 28 June 2024, His Excellency Ambassador Dato' Azhar Mazlan received His Excellency Mr. Wunna Han, Ambassador-designate of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar to Pakistan, who arrived at Islamabad International Airport via Thai Airways flight.
Also on hand to receive the Ambassador-designate were officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Pakistan, Heads of Mission/Chargé d'Affaires of Islamabad-based ASEAN Missions, and the Home-Based Staff of the Embassy of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar.
His Excellency Ambassador Dato' Azhar Mazlan extended a warm welcome to Ambassador-designate Wunna Han and expressed Malaysia's commitment to fostering strong bilateral relations and regional cooperation within ASEAN. He conveyed his best wishes for a successful tenure in Pakistan.
Ambassador-designate Wunna Han expressed his gratitude for the warm reception and looked forward to working closely with his counterparts in Islamabad to enhance Myanmar-Pakistan relations. He also expressed his hopes for continued cooperation and mutual support among ASEAN member states.
