THE 31ST ASIAN JUNIOR INDIVIDUAL SQUASH CHAMPIONSHIPS
His Excellency Ambassador Dato' Azhar Mazlan attended the final rounds of the 31st Asian Junior Individual Squash Championships, which took place in Islamabad, on 29 June 2024.
Malaysia’s Thanussa Uthrian produced a comprehensive performance as she captured the Asian U19 Individual Championship title in the girls' category, while Pakistan’s defending World Youth Champion Hamza Khan delighted the home fans with a championship win in the boys' category, defeating Malaysia's number one youth seed player Danial Harith.
This prestigious junior squash tournament, which started on 25 June 2024, attracted around 200 players aged under 19 from 12 member national federations, competing for titles in 8 different categories.
In his remarks, David Mui, MH JP, President of the Asian Squash Federation (ASF), thanked the Pakistan Squash Federation for hosting the event, which provided a platform for the next generation of squash talent in Asia to develop and compete at the highest level.
