VISIT PREPARATION MEETING WITH THE EAST ASIA PACIFIC DIVISION OF THE MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS
On 15 April 2025, the Chargé d’Affaires of Malaysia, Mr. Mohd Syafik Firdaus Hasbullah, accompanied by the First Secretary, held a meeting with Muhammad Amjad Aziz Qazi, Director General, East Asia Pacific Division of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) Pakistan. The meeting focused on substantive preparations for the upcoming high-level visit of the Government of Pakistan to Malaysia.
Both sides held in-depth discussions on potential agenda items, priority areas of cooperation, and expected outcomes of the visit. Key sectors explored included trade and investment, education, tourism, technology, and regional security. The two sides also exchanged views on potential deliverables and joint initiatives that could be announced during the visit.
The High Commission appreciates the constructive engagement and forward-looking approach of the East Asia Pacific Division, and looks forward to working closely with MOFA Pakistan to ensure a successful and impactful visit that strengthens the longstanding Malaysia-Pakistan partnership.
