On 12 June 2025, the High Commission of Malaysia in Islamabad participated in the Pakistan Mango Festival, co-hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan and Serena Hotels Islamabad.

The event was officiated by the Honourable Jam Kamal Khan, Minister for Commerce, and attended by Her Excellency Ambassador Amna Baloch, Foreign Secretary of Pakistan. It brought together over 300 participants from the government, diplomatic corps, and the agriculture and business sectors.

The Malaysian booth, organised with the assistance of PERWAKILAN Islamabad showcased a selection of mango-based Malaysian delicacies, including Nasi Goreng Mangga, Kerabu Mangga, Agar-Agar Mangga, and Jus Mangga. High Commissioner Dato’ Azhar Mazlan personally introduced the dishes to the Minister and the Foreign Secretary, who sampled them and expressed their appreciation for the rich and unique flavours of Malaysia.

In addition to the culinary showcase, the booth also promoted Malaysian tourist destinations in line with Visit Malaysia 2026 and highlighted premium Malaysian mango varieties such as Harum Manis. The occasion served as a valuable platform for exploring potential collaborations and trade opportunities in mango-related agro-businesses between Malaysia and Pakistan.
