On 31 July 2026, Kelab STMI organised a farewell and welcoming reception in honour of Mr. Mohd Syafik Firdaus bin Hasbullah and Mr. Muhammad Zulasri bin Rosdi, as well as to welcome Mr. Mohamad Alif Syafiq bin Mohd Faudzi and Mr. Mohamad Parih bin Wahab as new members of the High Commission of Malaysia in Islamabad.
The event, attended by officers and staff of the High Commission, was graced by His Excellency Dato’ Mohammad Azhar Mazlan, High Commissioner of Malaysia to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. In his remarks, the High Commissioner expressed his appreciation to Kelab STMI for organising the reception and thanked Mr. Mohd Syafik Firdaus and Mr. Muhammad Zulasri for their dedication, valuable contributions and successful completion of their respective tenures in Pakistan.
The High Commissioner also warmly welcomed Mr. Mohamad Alif Syafiq and Mr. Mohamad Parih to the Mission and expressed confidence in their ability to carry forward the responsibilities and contributions of their respective predecessors. He called upon all officers and staff to extend their full cooperation to ensure a smooth transition and emphasised the importance of teamwork, unity, harmony and a positive working culture in advancing Malaysia’s interests and strengthening its image in Pakistan.
As part of the farewell segment, commemorative plaques were presented to Mr. Mohd Syafik Firdaus and Mr. Muhammad Zulasri in recognition of their dedicated service at the High Commission. The programme also featured a joint birthday celebration and cake-cutting ceremony for members of the High Commission whose birthdays fell between April and June 2026.
The event concluded with a group photograph, followed by lunch.
