On 15 July 2026, Mr. Muhammad Zulasri Rosdi, Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of the High Commission of Malaysia in Islamabad, visited the Embassy of the State of Qatar to sign the Condolence Book on behalf of the Government of Malaysia following the passing of His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, former Emir of the State of Qatar, who passed away on 12 July 2026 at the age of 74.
The Chargé d’Affaires a.i. conveyed Malaysia’s deepest sympathies and condolences to the Royal Family of Qatar, as well as to the Government and people of the State of Qatar during this period of mourning.
Malaysia stands in solidarity with the State of Qatar in honouring the memory of His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, whose visionary leadership and dedicated service contributed significantly to the development and progress of Qatar and to the advancement of regional and international cooperation.
