OIC-COMSTECH HOSTS FAREWELL HI-TEA IN HONOUR OF MR. MOHD SYAFIK FIRDAUS

On 5 August 2026, the OIC Standing Committee on Scientific and Technological Cooperation (OIC-COMSTECH) hosted a Farewell Hi-Tea in honour of Mr. Mohd Syafik Firdaus bin Hasbullah, Counsellor at the High Commission of Malaysia in Islamabad, at the OIC-COMSTECH Secretariat. The event was hosted by Prof. Dr. M. Iqbal Choudhary, Coordinator General of OIC-COMSTECH, and was attended by H.E. Dato’ Mohammad Azhar Mazlan, High Commissioner of Malaysia to Pakistan, together with all Home-Based Staff of the High Commission. The event was also attended by representatives from fellow ASEAN Missions in Islamabad, including the Ambassador of the Philippines, the High Commissioner of Brunei Darussalam, as well as representatives from the Embassies of Indonesia and Thailand. In his remarks, Prof. Dr. M. Iqbal Choudhary expressed his appreciation to Mr. Syafik for his cooperation and support throughout his tenure in Islamabad and wished him well in his future endeavours. In his farewell remarks, Mr. Syafik expressed his appreciation to OIC-COMSTECH, particularly Prof. Dr. M. Iqbal Choudhary and his team, for the close cooperation and support extended to him during his posting in Pakistan. The gathering concluded with an informal exchange among the participants, marking the end of Mr. Syafik’s tenure in Islamabad.
