KARACHI - ASEAN Karachi held its friendly bowling match with Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI) on Thursday, 17 December 2009 at Royal Rodale Club, Karachi. ASEAN Karachi Bowling team was recently established under the patronage of Mr. Mohd Khalid Abdul Razak, Consul General of Malaysia in Karachi. The team is represented by all the Consul Generals and officials of ASEAN in Karachi i.e. Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam. The team has been very active in organising friendly bowling games on weekly basis and held games with Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) of Karachi prior to this. The Malaysian Consul General when met during the games mentioned that the ultimate goals of holding such games was not for victory of fame but part of their networking and social activities with fellow diplomats, Government and private sector officials here in Karachi. During the games, KATI was represented by its new Chairman and members of the Managing Committee. Each team comprises of 6 players and played 3 games of energetic and exciting bowling. This positive initiative of the Malaysian Consul General would certainly portray Karachi as a lively and vibrant metropolis of Pakistan.
