Malaysia "One Malaysia Stall" at DAWN International Travel & Tourism Show 2010

KARACHI, May 9-10: The two day international travel and tourism show organised by the DAWN Media Group opened at the Pearl Continential Hotel on Sunday in a festive atmosphere. The show, carrying a variety of interesting and colourful  features related to tourism and culture, was attended by the public and tourism fraternity in big numbers throughout the two days show.

 

 

 

 

Apart from the nicely set-up stalls of leading airlines and tourism promotion authorities (international and local), providing the vital information on travelling and accomodation, the photo exhibition highlighting the wonderful sights of Pakistan and a series of lively cultural performances grabbed visitors attention.

 

 

 

 

The participating countries ranged from Malaysia, Indonesia, and Thailand to Turkey and Sri Lanka with the local tourism bodies belonging to Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan and Balochistan also took part in making the event a vibrant one.

 

 

 

 

With the proactive initiatives of Mr. Mohd. Khalid Abdul Razak, the Consul General of Malaysia in Karachi, Malaysia operated a promotional Booth which features Malaysia Tourism promotion and activities, visa information and online ticket and special packages by Malaysia Airlines (MAS) Karachi. Indeed, the "One Malaysia Stall" which is beautifully decorated with Malaysia Truly Asia flavours has attracted more than 2,000 visitors and become the major attraction throughout the two days of the international show.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Malaysia also showcases a traditional dance entitled "Dikir Puteri" performed by 4 talented young angels of Malaysia comprising Aisyah Khalid, Azra Khalid, Aleena Chinoy and Nadzira Lukman. The dance which is choreographed by Madam Aniza Khalid, the spouse of the Malaysian Consul General was excellently performed by the dancers which reflected Malaysia rich diversity of cultures and attractions ... Malaysia Truly Asia!!!
