Thank you for visiting our website and Selamat Datang. The Consulate General of Malaysia in Karachi was established on 15 April 2004. The first office was temporarily located at Karachi Sheraton Hotel & Towers and moved to present location in Kha-e-Shamsheer on 1 February 2008. At the moment, our consular jurisdiction covers the provinces of Sindh and Balochistan. Pakistan was one of the first countries to establish diplomatic ties with Malaysia after its independence in 1957. Both countries enjoy rich and wide-ranging bilateral ties, reflecting the close historical links and importance of our current political and economic relations. The function of the Consulate General includes but is not limited to establishing contact with the government bodies. We are also keen in the promotion of bilateral trade, investment, tourism, education and other socio-cultural activities between Malaysia and Pakistan. For those visiting our office, for visa application process or simply seeking information or advice, you can expect warm and friendly services extended to you at our doorstep. After all, this is what Malaysia is known for - our warm hospitality.
Establishment: 15th April 2004 Prior to the establishment of the Consulate General of Malaysia in Karachi, the interest of Malaysia from March 1977 to April 2004 was looked after by the former Honorary Consul General, (The Late) Dato' Farookh Hamid Rizvi. *****
