This arrangement is practiced on the basis of reciprocity or international agreement. Upon receipt of request through diplomatic channel, the Consular Division of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Wisma Putra will forward the document to the relevant courts for it to be served on the defendants in Malaysia.

Similarly, court documents to be served to defendants in Karachi could be channeled to the Consular Division through the relevant court for onward transmission to the authorities of the concerned Governments i.e in Pakistan.
