On 08 April 2025, Consul General of Malaysia in Davao, Mr. Deddy Faisal Ahmad Salleh attended the Halal Advantage Seminar via online.  The event was conducted by Department of Trade and Industry Davao City Field Office, in partnership with the Ateneo de Davao University - Al Qalam Institute of Islamic Studies.

 

The event aims to inform Davao City based enterprises about halal market opportunities for Philippine products in Brunei, Indonesia and Malaysia.  It shall serve as the initial activity to identify and connect with qualified local enterprises whom the government can provide with comprehensive technical assistance in halal certification.

 

During the event, Mr. Mohammad Hafiz Jamaluddin and Mr. Romzi Sulaiman from Halal Development Corporation (HDC) Malaysia also participated and become one of the resource speaker.
