COUNTRY BRIEFING FOR THE KING FAISAL CENTER FOR ISLAMIC ARABIC AND ASIAN STUDIES, MINDANAO STATE UNIVERSITY
The Embassy of Malaysia, Manila provided a country briefing to a group of students from the King Faisal Center for Islamic Arabic and Asian Studies, Mindanao State University on 9 May 2013. The group consist of 53 International Relations undergraduates and one faculty academician visited the Embassy of Malaysia in Makati as part of their on-the-job training.
Upon arrival at the Embassy, Mr. Jalloud R. Abdul, Faculty Academician and three students leaders paid a courtesy call to H.E. Dato’ Mohd Zamri Mohd Kassim. The students was later briefed about the Malaysian Government administration, Parliamentary Democracy, Constitutional Monarchy and the separation of power among Executive, Judiciary and Legislative branches besides bilateral relationship between Malaysia and the Philippines.
H.E. Dato Zamri also meet with students and welcomed their choice to visit the Malaysian Embassy. H.E. shares his experience as an Ambassador with students and expressed views on developing bilateral relationship with mutual interest especially in economic sector. Further H.E. urged the students to play an active role in nation building considering they are the future leaders. Perwakilan Ladies hosted the Malaysian cuisine refreshment after the briefing.
