On 30 August 2023, the current chair of ACW Warsaw, H.E. Mr. Nguyen Hung, Ambassador of Vietnam, coordinated jointly with the other ASEAN Ambassadors in Warsaw a luncheon with the Polish Parliamentarians on 30 August 2023 at the Sheraton Hotel Warsaw.
From the ACW side, all five (5) ASEAN countries with resident Ambassadors in Poland attended the event, namely Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam.
Meanwhile, the participation from the Parliamentary Friendship Groups were MP Grzegorz Napieralski, Chairman of the Polish-Vietnam Parliamentary Group, MP JoĊski Dariusz, Chairman of the Polish-Malaysia Parliamentary Group, MP Iwona Arent, Chairman of the Polish-Singapore Parliamentary Group, MP Krzystof Gadowski, Chairman of the Polish-Indonesia Parliamentary Group, MP Zbigniew Chmielowice, Chairman of the Polish-Philippines Parliamentary Group and MP Waldemar Kraska, Chairman of the Polish-Thailand Parliamentary Group.
The key objective of this luncheon was to thank the Polish Parliamentarians for imitating the Polish-ASEAN Parliamentary Friendship Group in 2022. Consequently, it hosted the first meeting of this group on 9 June 2022 at the Sejm, lower house of parliament and a series of essential seminars and conferences in the years 2022 and 2023.
