A virtual meeting between representatives from the Embassy of Malaysia in Warsaw and the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industries’ Office in the Netherlands (MAFI) took place via Google Hangout platform at 10.30 am on 14 September 2021.
The Embassy of Malaysia in Warsaw was led by H.E. Dato’ Chitra Devi Ramiah while MAFI’s office at was headed by Mr. Muhamed Salim Mohd Ali, Agriculture Counsellor. Also present during the virtual meeting were Ms. Nur Atikah Anuar (First Secretary at the Embassy of Malaysia in Warsaw), Mr Jude Bryan S. Dass (Trade Commissioner at MATRADE Warsaw) and Ms Fariha Edrous (First Secretary at MAFI).
The meeting was held to discuss about the hosting of the 64th National Day Reception and the Commemoration of the 50th Anniversary of Malaysia-Poland diplomatic relations to be hosted on 13 October 2021. Among the outcomes of the meeting were MAFI’s kind agreement to contribute tropical fruits to be showcased during this double celebration event. MAFI’s contribution of tropical fruits will be used to promote Malaysia’s local fruits to the Polish market as part of food diplomacy and to encourage local businesses to source from Malaysia.
