Luncheon hosted by Mr. Teodor Baconski, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Romania with the Group of Asian Ambassadors
The new Foreign Minister of Romania, Mr. Teodor Baconski met with the Ambassadors from Asian countries over lunch on 19 February 2010. During the occasion, various topics of mutual interest between the two sides were discussed between them. Being a new Foreign Minister, Mr. Baconski also met with groups of Ambassadors from other regions too.
The Foreign Minister was just appointed few months ago when the new Romanian government was formed earlier. Being the former diplomat himself (his last post was as Romanian Ambassador to France), he was very much at ease and well-versed with the overall political and economic developments of the world, the issues of international concerned as well as matters concerning diplomacy itself.
The luncheon has undoubtedly provided an opportunity for the Group of Asian Ambassadors to get to know the Minister and to obtain the latest information on Romanian perspectives on the number of important issues of international concerned.
