BULGARIAN FILM EVENING - BALKAN BLACK BOX

On 27 August 2026, Mrs. Nor Hafidza Ja’afar, Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of the Embassy of Malaysia in Bucharest, attended the Bulgarian Film Evening featuring Balkan Black Box at the Romanian Diplomatic Institute.

The evening offered a glimpse into Bulgarian and Balkan stories through film, with the screening followed by a Q&A session and cocktail reception. A highlight of the evening was the opportunity for the audience to meet Mr. Kottarashky, the film’s main protagonist, in person and hear more about the story and creative journey behind the film.

The Embassy of Malaysia appreciates the opportunity to participate in this cultural evening, which celebrates cinema, culture and regional connections across the Balkans. The event brought together members of the diplomatic and cultural communities in Bucharest, with cinema providing a common ground of conversation, exchange and new perspectives.
