On 9 July 2026, Mrs. Nor Hafidza Jafar, First Secretary paid a courtesy call on Ms. Panalee Choosri, Chargé d'Affaires a.i. of the Royal Thai Embassy, as part of her introductory engagements in Bucharest to further cultivate regional camaraderie. The engagement provided a valuable opportunity to build rapport and reaffirm the importance of mutual support and close coordination within the ASEAN family towards fostering deeper diplomatic collaboration and reinforcing the enduring spirit of ASEAN friendship, unity and solidarity in Bucharest. Together, ASEAN missions in Romania continue to work hand in hand in strengthening connections, advancing shared interests, and nurturing a vibrant ASEAN presence abroad.
In the afternoon, Ms. Lim Hooi Shin, Chargé d’Affaires a.i., and Mrs. Nor Hafidza Jaafar, First Secretary, were warmly received by Mr. Andrei Luca, Director, and Ms. Dana Niculescu, Counsellor, of the Public Diplomacy, Cultural and Scientific Directorate at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania. The meeting provided an excellent platform to express appreciation for the Ministry’s continued support and valued cooperation with the Embassy of Malaysia. It marked another positive step towards fostering closer collaboration, paving the way for a more vibrant and deeply connected future between both institutions.
