JEDDAH - Consulate General Malaysia has successfully done it again - with its much awaited bazaar that sells Malaysian authentic foods and a surprisingly delectable catch which is the sea bass. The Consul General of Malaysia, His Excellency Mohd Khalid Abbasi Abdul Razak and spouse, Madam Aniza Khalid hosted this merry festival on 15 November 2013 which was the last leg of bazaar for the year. Visitors flocked the Malaysian Consulate as soon as the gate opened indicating the excitement to look for Malaysian phenomenal and delicious foods.


As Jeddah is approaching winter, the pleasant weather made the experience of dining out to be fun while catching up with friends and colleagues were fruitful. About 1500 Malaysian thronged the bazaar in the full spirit of `1Malaysia’ and it was indeed a joyous occasion.


Foods that were sold are from states all over Malaysia making the Consulate Bazaar something to look forward to by all the Malaysians residing in the Western Region of the Kingdom. A total of 14 booths were opened by Malaysian individuals as well as a few agencies that sold foods such as the famous Malaysian `Satay’, `Laksa’ from 3 different states in Malaysia, colorful sweetened ice blended or known as ABC, other delicacies that are close to the hearts of Malaysians and fresh sweet sea bass.


The Malaysian Bazaar was able to gather fellow Malaysians to mingle and strengthen the relationship that was built in order to garner stronger alliances as well as to alleviate homesickness. His Excellency Mohd Khalid Abbasi expressed his gratitude to all Malaysians who participated as visitors as well as sellers. He said, with the good turn up, the Malaysian Bazaar will be a celebrated occasion every year to all things Malaysian and the next one is going to be held early next year.
