MALAYSIAN STALL OF THE ACGC FOOD FESTIVAL 2015
JEDDAH – On the last day of the 8th Asian Consuls General Club (ACGC) Film Festival on 13 March 2015, an ACGC Food Festival was held at the Indonesian Consul General Residence. All 13 members of ACGC showcased varieties of delicious and traditional cuisines of their countries which were enjoyed by nearly 1000 visitors from all walks of life.
Consul General of Malaysia, Mr. Mohd Khalid Abbasi Abdul Razak and spouse, Madam Aniza Khalid hosted a `Malaysia Truly Asia’ stall which served traditional Nasi Lemak, live demo cooking of Roti Canai with dhal curry, Kuih Bakar Jagung and refreshing Cincau or Grass Jelly drink. The Malaysian cuisine is known for its vibrant and diverse flavours, eclectic influences and rich history. The rare opportunity to savour the rich and diverse tastes and smells of Malaysia was highly appreciated by all especially diplomats and Saudis who attended the event.
