On 23 December 2025 in Mecca, Tan Sri Shamsul Azri bin Abu Bakar, Chief Secretary to the Government of Malaysia, attended a briefing by Lembaga Tabung Haji , regarding preparations for the 2026 Hajj season at Abraj Al-Tayseer, Makkah. The management of Malaysian Hajj pilgrims by Tabung Haji has been recognized as among the best in the world, and services will continue to be enhanced in 2026 to ensure smooth and efficient operations. Tan Sri Shamsul Azri bin Abu Bakar was also informed that Tabung Haji plans to make this building its new operations centre in Makkah, replacing Abraj Al-Janadriyah.
