OIL MINISTER WELCOMES MALAYSIAN INVESTMENT
Khartoum, 29 January 2012 - Oil Minister Dr. Awad Al-Jaz welcomed the willingness of Malaysian companies to increase its oil investments in Sudan, praising the experience of Malaysian Petronas in the country.
During his meeting with the Malaysian Ambassador to Sudan, Dato’ Mohamad Ashri Muda, on Sunday, Al-Jaz welcomed the Malaysian entry in the competition for investment in the new oil blocks, praising relations between the two countries in various fields.
Al-Jaz indicated that Sudan intended from the beginning towards peace and stability with the State of South Sudan and to enforce its obligations towards the peace and good neighborly relations.
For his part, the Malaysian Ambassador affirmed his country's desire to expand oil in Sudan, noting that his country is ready to provide technical support to Sudan and the exchange of experiences in the framework of cooperation between the two countries in the field of oil.
