History History

The Embassy of Malaysia, Khartoum was officially established on 30 September 1999 following a Cabinet decision dated 21 April 1999.
 
The Embassy operated from the Grand Holiday Villa hotel before moving to Street 3, Al-Amarat in 2000. In 2019, the Embassy then moved to PETRONAS Sudan Complex, No.13, Block 7, Nile Avenue, Khartoum, Sudan.
 
In the early days of its establishment, the Embassy was headed by Mr Ibrahim Abdullah as the ChargĂ© d'affaires. It had since being upgraded to Ambassadorial level in 2001 with the appointment of His Excellency Dato' Abdul Mubin Razali  as the first Ambassador.
 
Among former Ambassadors includes Dato' Mohd Zamri Mohd Kassim, Haji Zainal Hamzah, Dato' Mohd Ashri Muda and Mustafa Hj. Mansor.

The newly appointed Ambassador of Malaysia to the Republic of the Sudan is His Excellency Mohamad Razdan Jamil.
