New High Commissioner of Malaysia to Singapore
His Excellency Dato' Husni Zai Bin Yaacob, the newly appointed High Commissioner of Malaysia to Singapore, presented his credential to President Tony Tan Keng Yam today (29 August 2013) in a ceremony at the Istana, Singapore.
Dato' Husni Zai joined the Administrative and Diplomatic Service of Malaysia in 1981 and was most recently the Deputy Secretary General of the Department of Bilateral Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia. Prior to his current appointment, he has served in Malaysian missions in the Philippines, Pakistan, United Kingdom as well as Ambassador of Malaysia to Kuwait and Thailand.
He is married to Datin Norshiha Bte Hasbullah with two children.
