The Embassy of Malaysia’s delegation, headed by Chargé d’Affaires Mrs. Carmallia Budiaty Che Embi, visited an agricultural estate in the village of Čelarevo in Serbia’s Autonomous Province of Vojvodina on Thursday, 13 February 2025.

 

The estate is one of 14 farms and production facilities operating under the Delta Agrar Company, one of Serbia’s largest producers, exporters, distributors, and importers of agricultural products. The visit provided the Embassy’s delegation with the opportunity to learn more about the operations on the 1,600-acre estate, including the 1,100-acre orchard where well-known global apple varieties are cultivated using the latest farming technologies.

 

The tour of the estate’s modern processing and storage facility offered an insightful view of the highly automated process of sorting, preserving, and packaging fresh apples for distribution to local and international markets. During the Embassy delegation’s meeting with the estate’s management, both sides explored the potential for expanding cooperation between Delta Agrar and Malaysian companies, particularly in the foreign trade of fruits and vegetables.
