Delegation from the Langkawi Development Authority (LADA)
On 27 February 2026, Ambassador Sarimah Akbar had the pleasure of hosting an iftar session for the delegation from the Langkawi Development Authority (LADA). The delegation, led by Dr. Azmil Munif Mohd Bukhari, Tourism Manager of LADA, was in Sweden from 26 February to 1 March 2026 as part of ongoing efforts to promote Langkawi as a premier island destination of Malaysia.
During their visit, the delegation undertook a series of productive engagements, including a Langkawi Networking Session and meetings with key airline partners such as Qatar Airways and Emirates. These discussions focused on enhancing air connectivity and exploring collaborative initiatives to strengthen visitor flows to Langkawi from Sweden.
