Meeting with Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Iceland and Diaspora Malaysia in Iceland
Following the presentation of credentials in Iceland, Ambassador Sarimah had the honour of meeting several key officials from the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Iceland, including Mr. Martin Eyjólfsson, Permanent Secretary of State; Mr. David Logi Sigurdsson, Director of United Nations Affairs; and Mr. Ingólfur Friðriksson, Deputy Director of External Trade and European Affairs. These productive meetings marked a positive step forward in strengthening diplomatic ties between Malaysia and Iceland.
Concurrently, as part of her visit, Ambassador Sarimah also connected with Mr. Norazman Chung, Managing Director of Berjaya Hotels Iceland, along with several other Malaysian entrepreneurs during a networking dinner at the Iceland Parliament Hotel. Their contributions reflect Malaysia’s growing business presence in Iceland and the expanding potential for bilateral economic collaboration.
