STOCKHOLM NEW YEAR´S INTERFAITH CELEBRATION ´UNITY IN DIVERSITY´ ORGANISED BY THE INTERNATIONAL BUDDHIST PROGRESS SOCIETY, SWEDEN ON 11 JANUARY 2012

 

H.E Dato´ Badruddin Ab. Rahman, Ambassador of Malaysia to Sweden and officials from the Embassy participated in the Stockholm New Year´s Interfaith Celebration with the theme `Unity in Diversity´ organized by the International Buddhist Progress Society Sweden at Roserberg, on 11 January 2012 from 6.30 pm to 9.30 pm.

 

In his speech, H.E Dato´ Badruddin Ab. Rahman informed on Malaysia as proof of unity in diversity where the people of various culture, religious belief and ethnic lives in peace and harmony. His Excellency also informed on the ´Global Movement of the Moderates´ introduced by Dato´ Seri Najib Tun Razak, Prime Minister of Malaysia in together the moderates can overcome extremism. His Excellency also informed on the International Conference on the Global Movement of Moderates to be held in Kuala Lumpur from 17 to 19 January 2012.

 

The New Year celebration was attended by the representative of Local Government in Sigtuna Commune and approximately 40 members of the various religious congregations in Sweden.
