Strategic Dialogue with Director Karim Haggag and Senior Researches from SIPRI
On 10 February 2026, the ASEAN Committee in Stockholm (ACS) Ambassadors engaged in a strategic dialogue with Director Karim Haggag and senior researchers from SIPRI to address the converging challenges of climate, conflict, health, and global defence developments. Besides, the discussion also examined the role of critical minerals in today’s geopolitical landscape, analysing their direct strategic and economic implications for ASEAN member states. Overall, the session facilitated a high-level exchange on how these shifting security paradigms influence regional stability and the broader international landscape.
