The 34th ASEANCommitteeinStocholm (ACS) meeting was held on 27 June 2024 at the Royal Thai Embassy in Stockholm.

 

Acknowledging the success of the inaugural ASEAN Trade and Food Fair 2024 in Stockholm, ACS Ambassadors exchanged congratulations and discussed possible improvements that could be implemented for the subsequent fair. Concurrently, the meeting also solidified ASEAN promotional activities that have been planned for the second half of 2024.

 

Towards the end of the meeting, Her Excellency Arunrung Phothong Humphreys, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand handed over the ACS Chairmanship to Her Excellency Maria Lumen B. Isleta, Ambassador of the Republic of the Philippines. Thailand took the helm of the ACS for the period January - June 2024. Malaysia wishes to congratulate Thailand for the successful Chairmanship and extend our best wishes to Philippines as the new chair of ACS.
