‘’RIDE FOR PEACE’’ MOTORCYCLE EXPEDITION

The serenity of the Embassy of Malaysia’s compound was shattered by the revving sounds of a convoy consisting of 50 superbikes and about 80 participants led by YB Dato’ Seri Dr. Ahmad Zahid Hamidi who was on a peace mission by traveling from Chiang Rai in the northern part of Thailand down to Danok bordering Malaysia’s Bukit Kayu Hitam. The convoy made a stopover at the Embassy after traveling about 1500km and was treated with the traditional welcome by the Ambassador and staff of the Embassy.

The convoy which was initiated by the Superbikes Association of Malaysia (SAM) spent a night in Bangkok and will continue its journey to the south until it reaches the border on 31 January 2010.
