AGRO CHALLENGE INTERNATIONAL 2011: NETWORKING DINNER, 29 MAY 2011
The Embassy of Malaysia through its Agriculture Office had organised a special networking dinner for approximately 100 Malaysian participants who were visiting Thailand for a special 7-day programme in an attempt to learn and better understand the success of Thai agriculture sector especially in poultry farming and floriculture. The visit was coordinated by Kelab Usahawan Tani Malaysia (KUAT). A substantial number of local Thai entrepreneurs were also invited to the said event.
2. The event was presided over by H.E. Amb. Dato’ Nazirah Hussain who has just reported for duty a day earlier. In her welcoming remarks, she expressed her fervent hope for more similar events to be organised in the future which bodes well with the overall economic diplomacy initiative undertaken by the Embassy. Such event also accorded the staff of the Embassy with the opportunities to meet with fellow Malaysian entrepreneurs and the interaction between all parties may eventually help not only to promote Malaysia but towards the enhancement of the economic bilateral relations.
3. The two-hour event ended with the presentation of certificates to the participants and the exchange of MoU between Malaysia and Thailand Farmers’ Associations.
