AIDIL ADHA & DEEPAVALI OPEN HOUSE 20 NOVEMBER 2010
Consistent with the spirit of 1Malaysia, the Embassy of Malaysia once again successfully organised another event in conjunction with the celebration of Aidil Adha and Deepavali on 20 November 2010. Approximately more than 250 fellow Malaysians who reside and work in Bangkok attended the function.
2. A good range of Malaysian food was served including nasi tomato, rendang, lontong, tosei, capati, mutton masala etc. Of course the much sought after teh tarik, all time favourite among Malaysians, was also served. The function which started at 6.30 pm ended about three hours later even though a big number of guests stayed on until almost midnight catching up with each other while enjoying the music played by a Filipino band.
3. The organisation of the event certainly bodes well with the aspiration of the Government of Malaysia to engage and work closely with fellow Malaysians abroad. Not only it could be used to strengthen the relationship with the Malaysian community in Thailand, more importantly, the Embassy would be able to engage them informally in order to understand their problems and concern as Malaysians residing in Thailand.
