CASUAL ENVOYS OF BANGKOK PHOTO EXHIBITION FOREIGN CORRESPONDENT CLUB OF THAILAND, 22 JULY 2011

A freelance photographer for The Bangkok Post who is now serving the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand had collaborated with the Foreign Correspondence Club of Thailand (FCCT) in organising a special photo exhibition showcasing foreign envoys in Bangkok in their casual mood. The initiative started more than a year ago and after all the hard work, the exhibition finally became a reality when it was launched by H.E. Kasit Piromya, the caretaker Foreign Minister last Friday.

Dato’ Husni Zai Yaacob was pictured in long-sleeves green batik spending his leisure time reading his favourite near the fish pond at the Official Residence. 17 other foreign envoys from all continents were also pictured in the same exhibition. In showing her unwavering support to her predecessor, Dato’ Nazirah Hussain, the current Malaysian Ambassador to Thailand attended the function together with other officials from the Embassy and spent the evening admiring the great art work by Ms. Marcie.
