Ten representatives from the Malaysia – Thailand Chamber of Commerce (MTCC) led by its President, Mr. Yeap Swee Chuan, visited the Embassy on 29 June 2011 with a view to paying a courtesy call on H.E. Dato’ Nazirah Hussain as the latter had just assumed the post about a month earlier. The call which lasted approximately half an hour was also attended by several officials from the Embassy representing MITI, MATRADE, MIDA and Tourism Malaysia.

 

2.         Essentially, the call was used as an avenue to update each other on the latest developments pertaining to the activities carried out by the Embassy and MTCC. The Ambassador seized the opportunity to update members of the MTCC on the emphasis to be given on KPIs in measuring the work of the Embassy and also expressed her wish for greater and more strategic partnership to be nurtured with MTCC with a view to better promoting Malaysia to all sectors in Thailand. In return, Mr. Yeap thanked the Embassy for the assistance rendered for the past years and pledged his commitment to continue the good cooperation and dynamic in relationships between the two entities.
