GENERAL ADVICE FOR MALAYSIANS RESIDING AND WORKING IN BANGKOK
 
The latest developments in Bangkok remain unstable and curfew has been imposed to stabilise the situation.
 
2.   In this regard, we would like to make the following advice to all Malaysian residing and working in Thailand: 
 
     a)   to remain indoors during the curfew period imposed by the Thai Government from              9.00pm – 5.00am effective from 20 – 23 May 2010;
 
     b)   to strictly avoid from visiting the hotspots, particularly, Ratchaprasong
           Intersection, Lumpini Park, Silom Road, Sala Daeng Road, Ding Deng, Klong Toei
           (Rama IV), Bon Kai and their surrounding areas where the situation remains fluid
           and chaotic;
 
     c)   to take extreme care about personal safety and always be vigilant;
 
     d)   to monitor events and the latest developments by monitoring the news from local
           and international media (print and electronic);
 
     e)   to register with the Embassy of Malaysia by calling up the Embassy or sending an email to the number and address stated below; and
 
     f)   to contact the Embassy for assistance, if necessary.
